From the point of planting the seed pineapples take over 14 months to grow. A second (smaller) fruit can be grown from the same plant which then takes a further 11 months to grow and become ripe after which the plant needs to be ripped out and replanted. Unlike bananas, they are picked only once they are ripe.

PineapplesPineapples require specialised handling and treatment to ensure that the freshness and taste is maintained from the moment they are picked to the moment they are eaten. They are refrigerated shortly after packing and remain so throughout the supply chain for delivery to the customer.

We supply only the very finest pineapples available. Grown in Central and South America, our hand-picked pineapples have taken many years of careful development. At harvest they contain the correct balance of sugar level to acidity to ensure good shelf life coupled with exceptional taste.
